Gros Morne National Park
Spanning more than 1,800 square kilometres in Newfoundland and Labrador, Gros Morne National Park is the second largest Parks Canada site in Atlantic Canada. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the parks is home to the Gros Morne peak of the Long Range Mountains, the Western Brook Pond, and The Tablelands.
The park is usually reached by air through Deer Lake Regional Airport, or by car or bus with the Marine Atlantic ferry service coming from Nova Scotia. Recreation is heavy at Gros Morne National Park, and can include kayaking, swimming, hiking, and cycling – plus Western Brook Pond Boat Tours. Winter activities are major here as well, and include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and more.
